Comprehensive Pics for Collectors
By R. Selby
If you're trying to return a mixed-up bunch of Lego minifigures to their original state, or work out what exactly you have in your collection, then this is the book for you. Almost all minifigures, in their officially supplied configuration, are clearly photographed, head on, on a white or grey background. Look carefully and you might spot the odd grey silhouette where a figure couldn't be tracked down. Well, I found one - Rascus from Knight's Kingdom.

All figures up to 2010 are included, so don't expect to see series 3, 4, and 5 of the collectible figures, as only the first two came out in 2010. Pictures are only of standard sized Lego figs, but do include quite a few non-minifig figures, eg giant trolls and brick built droids. But strangely enough not the oversized yeti/tygurah type creatures from Orient Expedition which are lot more figure-ish than, say, the ExoForce mini Venom Walker. You won't see any Duplo or Primo here.

The only beef I have is an inset showing the heads would be handy for helmeted/masked figs, so you could see the face print under, for example, Darth Vader's mask. Instead you need to check the head brick index at the back. And if I'm being really picky, taller figures, eg Woody from Toy Story or the mermaid end up heaving the very top of their heads cropped due to the standard sized picture frame employed. Still, gives you a good idea of scale though.

The author thoughtfully provides BrickLink codes to help you hunt down that elusive figure via the BrickLink trading website. He's also come up with his own somewhat lengthier taxonomy style code, eg nfi.par.par.1996.08 for a Paridisa female fig. Time will tell whether this is useful or not.

Not perfect, but it's what you need.
By Skwerl
I've been involved in collecting various vintage toy items for about 20 years, and every niche of toy collecting has one standout guide that is considered essential for completing and knowing the history and variations of that particular toy or brand. Well, LEGO collecting is a relatively young hobby and so far this guide is THE guide for LEGO minifigures. It's not a price guide, but an identification guide and somewhat of a history, albeit only for listing the original release year for each figure. Could it be a better book? Yeah, but considering the lack of any other minifigure guides, the author did a fantastic job and the book will serve collectors well. The only real omission that I feel would be an immense help to many is a rarity index, but I expect to see a price guide sooner than later due to the hugely growing popularity of especially the collectible series and licensed lines. It will take quite an effort to replace this as a top guide for LEGO minifigure collectors.

Catalogo Lego Minifigurine
By Angelo
Il catalogo ben fatto e molto utile. Consigliato a tutti i collezionisti di minifigurine
Non si capisce perch siano stati inseriti i prezzi "nuovo" ed "usato" ed in base a che valutazione siano stati inseriti

The catalog is well done and very useful. Recommended to all collectors of minifigurine
It is not clear why the prices are pushed "new" and "used" and based on that assessment have been incorporated
